Smart Series™ Meter Model 1263

Automatically advances the day, month and year.

The Smart Series™ Meter automatically advances the date (day, month and year) once the correct starting date is entered.
To confirm the date, press the [DATE] key. The current date and time appear on the display. This date will be printed on the envelope or tape.  
 
If the display date is correct and the printed date is not, it will be necessary to synchronize the meter dates. This may have to be repeated several times until synchronization occurs.
 
Example
Meter prints March 02, 2004
Actual date is February 12, 2004
Display indicates February 12, 2004
 
  1. Be sure the printed date is not set forward (verify PRINTED DATE: RESET [E] is not a [DATE] menu selection).
  2. Press [DATE] until the display reads:   
  3. Press [E]   
  4. Using the [>] key and number keys, enter the actual meter printed date (MAR[E], 02[E], 02[E] ).
  5. Print a $00.00 stamp to verify the printed date and the display date are the same.
