San Diego, CA - The National Postal Forum, April 21 - 24, is the site chosen by Hasler®, Inc. to launch its new PowerPost mailing system which offers twice the mixed-weight processing speed of competitive products on the market today. The standalone system contains SAFE™-CV, Hasler’s internal Postal Security Device (PSD), the fraud-protection mechanism that ensures the authenticity of the postage the meter imprints. The US Postal Service “Authorization for National Distribution” was made April 3.

PowerPost’s two-dimensional postal indicia reflects the digital Information Based Indicia Program (IBIP) which enhances the security features of electronic postage metering products. Unlike traditional postage indicias, every IBI impression, like a fingerprint, is absolutely unique. The exclusive technology in Hasler’s PSD provides “ultra-secure” protection of postal funds, and meets the U.S. Postal Service’s highest level of security. It is USPS-compliant to beyond 2008.

With a processing capacity up to 13,000 envelopes per hour, PowerPost is engineered for larger mail centers, particularly those with the need for bursts of heavy-volume processing. Its optional in-motion weighing platform automatically provides accurate weight to the postage meter as a mailpiece is being transported. Mail up 1/2” thick is easily handled.

A special function is PowerPost’s large, touch-screen display which offers operator prompts and helps to increase productivity while reducing errors.

In addition to the in-motion weighing platform, optional 15 lb., 30 lb., and 100 lb.-capacity scales will interface with the PowerPost to provide full-service shipping capabilities. An internal CPU tracks all transactions to provide accounting and operating controls.
