Shelton, CT - With the introduction of three new mailing machines meeting the USPS’ requirements for protecting postal funds, Hasler now boasts the largest array in the industry of postage meters offering IBI technology.

The Postal Service’s Information Based Indicia Program will give mailers until January, 2009 to be fully compliant by removing completely meters with analog construction and rotary mechanics from use.

The extension of Hasler’s WhisperJet line to include the WJ20, WJ60 and WJ90 complements the WJ 135 and WJ 180, introduced earlier this spring, as well as bolstering the PostLink and PowerPost models. PostLink received USPS approval in February, 2001 and PowerPost was “Authorized for National Distribution” April 3 of this year.

The new WJ90 will process up to 90 letters per minute and track postage for up to 45 accounts. At a compact 18 pounds, it’s designed for busy offices or light-volume mail centers. A built-in postal weighing platform adds extra operator convenience.

WJ60 offers similar benefits but is more economical with a top speed of 60 letters per minute and accounting for 35 departments. Both units provide “Smart Card” technology for uploading new postal rates, ad dies and custom messages.

For desktop use, and in small and home offices, the WJ20 prints up to 20 envelopes or postage labels per minute. This is also packed with high-tech features and comes with an interfaced, four-pound capacity postal scale for letters, parcels and flats.
